"The Deli Roast Beef is unlike any other backpack food I have seen. With the enclosed mayo and mustard, this is a great meal to have with a tortilla or pita. I found Next Mile Meals two years ago and I love the quality I get with each meal.."

What our Customers Are Saying
The chunks of meat were too large. Despite waiting extra time for the meal to re-hydrate, I got tired of chewing after 20 minutes.
The deli roast beef was decent, but very dry and tough. It could have been that I got a bad batch.
Delicious, and actually filling unlike so many other backcountry meals where you have to eat two servings to feel full. The beef can sometimes be a slightly hard if you only let it sit for 7-10 as directed, so I recommend letting it sit for 15 minutes to fully rehydrate. I pretty much exclusively eat Next Mile Meals in the backcountry.
During my last backpacking trip I mostly had problems getting the hot water to properly cook the meals. For one of them I just cooked it in a pot on the stove and that was great (gumbo). For one, there was cheese, so cooking it on the stove was a mess. This one I didn't try to cook it on the stove and there were too many crunchy meat bits. Of course you're hungry after walking all day so you eat it, but this system needs some work in my situation (which was at altitude, 9000 feet).
The flavor was delicious however the beef did not rehydrate well which made it difficult to eat.
